SPEAKING OF THE
CONSTITUTION
The Executive Committee is reviewing the constitution to assess possible changes. The Executive Committee thinks a review every now and then is wise because circumstances of the club and its members change. The last review was made in October 2002. One area which has been discussed is the definitions and obligations of the three membership categories of Article IV. Definite proposals will be introduced early next year.
DANCING FEET
In the October GOTTA DANCE, we offered some thoughts on the feet and their care. Along those lines, the foot, with its 26 bones and 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments, is a sensory organ. Step on her foot while dancing and she’ll feel it. But there’s more to it than that. The feet are continuously gathering sensory information to provide balance, support and mobility. Consider all of the data required to dance the polka, to name one. If your feet become overwhelmed, you might fall down.
Or, if you attempt something too new without adequate preparation, you might bring into play Law #2 of the LAWS OF ULTIMATE REALITY, a list of 19 laws submitted by a member. Law #2 – The Law of Probability says that the probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.
So, keep your feet well-informed and educated in dancing.
