HAPPY NEW YEAR

Did everyone survive Y2k?  Oh, that was a decade ago!!!  That’s 40 seasons in most locales.  In Minnesota, maybe half that.

Let’s resolve in this new year to grow the club.  We ended 2009 on a very positive note.

You might remember that our Candy Land Dance in December had a very crowded dance floor.  (More on this below.)  We had 12 couples as guests:

A CROWED DANCE FLOOR

The Executive Committee received several comments via the suggestion boxes about the crowded dance floor.  We have discussed some ideas on how to ameliorate this problem in the future, including removing some tables after dinner.  Those people affected will need to put their personal items on another table.

LHDC invites you to BE MINE

Our next dance is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Lake Harriet United Methodist Church, 4901 Chowen Avenue South, Minneapolis.  Festivities begin at 6:30.  Please register by January 27. 

CONSTITUTION CHANGES

As reported in the November edition of GOTTA DANCE, the Executive Committee has reviewed the constitution and has approved certain changes.  These changes will be announced at the February dance and distributed via email in March.  Further proposals may be offered by members and must be presented in writing to the Chair Couple in time to be approved by the Executive Committee and included in the March email.

THE 2010 – 2011 CALENDAR

The Executive Committee has started on the calendar for next season.  The sign-up boards for each month’s dance committee will be displayed at the April and May dances

The Member Directory section of the web-site is password protected for security.
